Grimeton Radio Station was built in times after a long war. When the radio station for the first time was taken into operation in 1924, it became part of a transatlantic network establishing contacts between people and countries around the world. Today, Grimeton Radio Station is the only one of its kind and is therefore inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
