December 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of the Grimeton Radio Station, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was commissioned to shorten the distance between continents and people. A historic moment that paved the way for modern wireless communications. To celebrate this anniversary, Gr\u00f6nstedts has produced a special edition just for Grimeton – an exclusive, limited cognac in only 1000 bottles, as the brand has an interesting connection to the early history of the radio station and that the landowners in Hunnestad and Grimeton offered this during the negotiations. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Gr\u00f6nstedts Cognac XO Grimeton Radiostation is sold by Gr\u00f6nstedts, via Galatea<\/a>, through Systembolaget or to restaurants via Martin & Servera. Gr\u00f6nstedts x Grimeton Radiostation is launched in a limited edition of 1000 bottles. It will be launched in Systembolaget’s<\/a> order range on November 25<\/strong> with article number 84324-02 and costs 849 SEK. We at V\u00e4rldsarvet Grimeton are very happy that the ancient beverage brand has chosen to highlight this piece of communication history with its own brandy. <\/p>\n

Tastings with wine and other beverages are the focus at Spiseriet, just a stone’s throw or a little further from the radio station. The idea maker, host, and tasting leader is Peter Halld\u00e9n, one of the main figures behind Spiseriet. With his countless years in the industry at the star restaurant Th\u00f6rnstr\u00f6ms k\u00f6k, named Sommelier of the Year 2018, and trained Fromager (cheese expert), Spiseriet invites you to a unique cognac tasting. You can expect a tasting with 3 different cognacs, one of which is Gr\u00f6nstedts Cognac XO Grimeton Radiostation. One of Varberg’s absolute cocktail bars is doing a special tasting to celebrate the anniversary! In connection with Gr\u00f6nstedts launching a special edition cognac, Gr\u00f6nstedts Cognac XO Grimeton Radiostation in 1000 bottles, Luna Bar in central Varberg is doing a tasting. The anniversary cognac and the rest of Gr\u00f6nstedts Cognac will be tested, in addition, their bartender Andreas shakes up 3 classic cocktails with Cognac as a base.
