The transmitter hall<\/h2>\n

The Transmitter Hall houses the world’s only Alexanderson transmitter from the 1920s. Through images, objects, and interactive stations, you can gain new perspectives on the older technology that is the predecessor to the wireless technology we use today. <\/p>\n

It’s urgent. The Alexanderson transmitter was subjected to a cunning sabotage during the night, and we need to find the perpetrator and the motive. Some information has been secured, but also some very strange clues. Do you have what it takes to find the saboteur? <\/p>\n

The Control<\/h2>\n

In The Control, your physical abilities are put to the test. In three steps, you get to test your vision, strength and balance. Something that the tower workers have performed in Grimeton since the 1920s. We call it an obstacle course, others call it the world’s best playground! <\/p>\n

In addition to the three mission stations, the obstacle course also includes other exciting play elements that encourage free play and learning.<\/span><\/p>\n

On selected days, the kitchen is open and serves well-prepared food with a focus on sustainability, quality, and care. When the kitchen is not in operation, simple refreshments are available for purchase in the Shop\u2014and you’re always welcome to sit down in The Dining Hall and enjoy the atmosphere. <\/p>\n

From the World Heritage site’s antenna towers, the artwork Transmission<\/strong> visualizes the radio station’s imaginary communication. Green laser in the form of varying waves and frequencies conveys messages in the intervals of the Morse alphabet. The light, visible for several miles, conveys messages based on UNESCO’s work for peace and human equality. Peace. Friendship. Freedom. Equality. Life. Love. <\/strong>The artwork is visible on a few occasions each year and during the dark hours of the day. It was created by the artist Aleksandra Stratimirovic<\/a> and is a permanent work owned by Varberg Municipality<\/a>. Photographer: Natalie Greppi.<\/p>\n
