During World War II, the radio station was on high alert. In addition to patrolling the area and building shelters, a lookout post was established in the first antenna tower. From a narrow slit, the high-altitude guard could watch for unusual activity in the area and eliminate potential threats in good time. <\/strong><\/p>\n With the wind\u2014and the occasional kestrel\u2014for company, participants get to experience what it was like to head up to great heights for a risky mission. We then equip you with everything needed for safety before we head up the ladder. Throughout the activity, participants are anchored to the safety system. Climbing guides are present throughout the entire experience. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.17.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.17.0″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n You climb up one of the antenna towers in a small group with a certified guide, the climbing leader. The experience starts at the World Heritage visitor center.<\/p>\n Afterwards, you are prepared for the climb. Helmets and safety equipment are ready, and the guide holds a safety briefing before the start\u2014something the mast workers of the last century were not fortunate enough to have. <\/p>\n You will hear more about the workers and their history during the experience.
