During spring 2023, two fantastic music concerts will be held at the World Heritage Grimeton. In collaboration with Musik Hallandia, two free INES concerts will be offered on April 22 and May 27. They will fill the radio station with sound waves – as an exciting part of our cultural program “Communication for better or worse.” <\/strong><\/p>\n

APRIL 22: KLINGRA<\/h2>\n
The new Nordic group Klingra has released a debut album. Klingra is based in the Faroe Islands but has members from Denmark, Finland, Norway, Latvia, and the Faroe Islands. Musicians with experience from groups like Jack White, Savage Rose, Afenginn, and Teitur. The new album is called “…eftir” and describes the west coast of Greenland in 1956 and the port Nordafar (short for Norway\/Denmark\/Faroe Islands) \u2013 a fishing port for Faroese fishermen who were forced out of their own waters by German and English trawlers. Composers Nyberg and Neystab\u00f8 use local recordings from one of these fishermen. Solitude and longing are expressed both in the music and the Faroese lyrics. This is combined with electronics, and Klingra integrates a wide palette of acoustic and electronic sounds that could be called “indie-classical.” <\/div>\n

MAY 27: LISEN RYLANDER L\u00f6ve | OCEANS<\/h2>\n
Gothenburg-based saxophonist Lisen Rylander L\u00f6ve is internationally active in electronica, jazz, and experimental music. In 2019, she released her first solo album Oceans. It is music where the broken meets the beautiful, acoustic meets electronic. By mixing acoustic instruments like saxophone and vocals with live electronics, she creates her own unique sound worlds. This Saturday afternoon, she will come to the World Heritage Grimeton and fill the radio station with sound waves – as an exciting part of our cultural program “Communication for better or worse.” Take the opportunity to arrive a little earlier and enjoy the place and something tasty at Kjell’s Caf\u00e9. <\/div>\n
