Therefore, SAQ will be started and will broadcast a peace message to the entire world via Grimeton&#8217;s unique 200 kW Alexanderson alternator from 1924, on the frequency 17.2 kHz CW. The World Radio Day is held on the initiative by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco.org\/en\/days\/world-radio\/radio-peace\">UNESCO<\/a>.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/unesco.se\/13-februari-world-radio-day\/\">World Radio Day<\/a> is a day that highlights radio as a powerful communication tool that reaches the entire world. Radio is especially important in sparsely populated areas and for particularly vulnerable people, such as illiterates, who have difficulty accessing other types of communication. And for us in Grimeton, radio is the most important of all! World Radio Day aims to:   <\/p>\n<p>\u00bb raise awareness of the importance of radio as a communication tool<br \/>\n\u00bb encourage decision-makers to provide access to information via radio<br \/>\n\u00bb strengthen networks and international collaborations between broadcasters<\/p>\n<p>You are welcome to connect with your receiving equipment wherever you are in the world and receive SAQ&#8217;s peace message from Grimeton. Or follow the entire event on YouTube and see what happens in the transmitter hall here at World Heritage Grimeton on World Radio Day. Transmission &amp; YouTube live stream<br \/>\n15:25 CET (14:25 UTC): Live stream on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MJXhbE1bDOk\">YouTube<\/a> begins<br \/>\n15:30 CET (14:30 UTC): Startup and tuning of the Alexanderson Alternator SAQ<br \/>\n16:00 CET (15:00 UTC): Transmission of a peace message from SAQ <\/p>\n<p><strong>(Test transmissions <\/strong>are planned for February 13th, approximately at 13:00 CET (12:00 UTC). SAQ will be on air for 20-30 minutes for some tuning tests.
