If you love meeting people and being part of creating exciting and wonderful experiences, then the Grimeton Radio Station World Heritage Site has the perfect summer job for you!

About the Grimeton Radio Station World Heritage Site

In 2004, the Grimeton Radio Station was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO as a unique symbol of the early development of wireless technology. Since then, the site has evolved into the visitor attraction it is today. At Grimeton Radio Station, visitors of all ages can now enjoy exhibitions, high-altitude experiences, guided tours, various events, and a unique environment to simply be in and experience. Additionally, this year we’re celebrating 100 years of communication!

About the Position

This year, we’re looking for visitor hosts with kitchen and restaurant experience!

As a visitor host, you and your colleagues are the face of the Grimeton World Heritage Site, and our visitor hosts are collectively responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations. A day in the role of a visitor host includes everything from handling the cash register and welcoming visitors to preparing food in the kitchen, serving, and guiding groups around the site. The tasks are varied and may also include participating in kitchen and shop purchases, cleaning and maintaining order, as well as setting up exhibitions and activities. The Grimeton World Heritage Site’s goal for you as a visitor host is that you enjoy working here as much as our visitors enjoy their experience, and that you feel proud to be part of the work to preserve this unique place for the future!

Who are You?

We believe you’re someone who enjoys learning new things, likes meeting people, and has the ability to convey information in a lively and engaging way. You should feel comfortable speaking in front of groups and have experience in some kind of service profession. It’s also good if you can easily absorb information and memorize a script.

This year, we’re reopening a renovated and expanded visitor center, which now includes a kitchen that will serve coffee, snacks, and light lunch dishes. Therefore, it’s advantageous if you have experience working in kitchens and restaurants. Or perhaps you’re a student in the Restaurant and Food Service program?

If you speak German, this is also an advantage.

We welcome applications from all age groups; the important thing is that the tasks suit you and that you enjoy working with us.
