A course in Morse telegraphy – for new radio amateurs and those who have already made some progress. During the anniversary year, the Friends of Alexander Association invites you to both a beginner’s group and an advanced group.

Telegraphy is the most basic way to have radio contact and it’s also easy to build your own transmitter for telegraphy. Imagine getting to know how it works! You’ll learn the Morse alphabet, how to transmit it with a Morse key, and of course, you’ll also learn a lot about the Alexanderson alternator, the heart of the Transmitter Hall. Moreover, you’ll have experienced and passionate telegraphists as your mentors. And at a radio station so unique that it’s now a UNESCO World Heritage site. We think it’s fantastically fun that the association’s skilled telegraphists with experience from various professional roles want to organize these courses during the anniversary year “100 years of communication”.

Beginner’s course and advanced course starting in week 8 / 2025.

Start Monday, February 17th at 6:00 PM.
The first 9 sessions are on Mondays, and the last session is on Tuesday, April 22nd.
Maximum number of participants in each group: 10 people.
Price: 200 SEK/participant, refreshments included.
Recommended age from 13 years
