Easter at Grimeton
At Grimeton, it’s a tradition to gather and socialize during Easter. People in the Radio Village have been doing this for a hundred years now. At a time when light and hope return, accompanied by spring, there are simply really good conditions for good fellowship. And this year, it starts with a 100-year celebration in 1920s style at the Societén in Varberg.
During the spring, we are renovating our Visitor Center into a World Heritage Center, which will be ready for the summer. But the World Heritage site blooms in Easter yellow as always, and we welcome you here. Just like before, we gather around a series of Easter activities together. We want to spread Easter’s bright message, and there’s something for both young and old.
There’s a lot of fun and Easter-sparkling activities happening both at our place and at our friendly neighbors here below the towers. Scroll down and pick your favorites!

The Walk – that Tells Stories

Take a walk along our moderately long walking trail that takes you out to the first antenna tower. Along the way are some nice benches built by our friends at the Work Center in Varberg. There you can stop and wind up some nice stories to listen to in the spring sun.

The World Heritage’s Good Neighbors.
Visit Them During Easter!
Capture Transmission in a Photo
on Easter Saturday at 10 PM
From the antenna tower of the World Heritage Site, the artwork Transmission makes the imaginary communication of the radio station visible. Green lasers in the form of varying waves and frequencies convey messages in Morse code intervals. The light, visible from miles away, conveys messages based on UNESCO’s work for peace and human equality. Peace. Friendship. Freedom. Equality. Life. Love. The artwork is visible on a few occasions each year and during the dark hours of the day. It is created by the artist Aleksandra Stratimirovic and is a permanent work owned by Varberg municipality.
