🍲 I Matsalen located in the Visitor Centre serves lunch 12.00–14.00 and coffee and treats all day.

📚 In the Exhibition you can learn more about the site.

🔎☀️ In the Code Hunt in the daytime the hunt is on for the boxes, each containing a part of a telegram written in Morse code. If you manage to find them all and put the words together into a sentence, you can enter a competition to win great prizes from the World Heritage shop and Matsalen. The boxes are located around the area by the radio station buildings. Also see ‘Important to know before the Code Hunt’ further down the page.

Wednesday–Friday, 28–30 October

🔎🌑 In the Code Hunt in the evening (from around 17.00) the day’s telegram is replaced and a new hunt with a competition begins on the site in the moonlight and the shadows of the antenna towers. With the help of the Morse alphabet, a UV lamp and fluorescent clues, you will find the boxes and crack the evening’s secret message. But remember that in the dark you can’t always see if there is something or someone else there …

Important to know before the Code Hunt:

  • Bring the UV lamp from Rys och Mys.
  • No pre-booking.
  • Start by scanning the QR code outside the Visitor Centre entrance to open the answer form. Then the searching can begin! When you are happy with your answers, submit the form.
  • If you need a cheat sheet with the Morse alphabet, you can pick one up from the orange mailbox, also outside the entrance.
  • NOTE! The evening activity is done on your own outdoors. The area is very dark after sunset and the terrain is uneven in places. Feel free to bring your own torch and wear sturdy shoes.
  • It is very important to stay within the public areas and not cross any barriers, both day and evening.
  • Recommended age for the evening hunt: from 15 years. Younger participants only accompanied by an adult and at the adult’s discretion. The activity may feel very unpleasant after dark.
