Christmas Peace – Concert with Karin Dahlberg and Catharina Löfqvist

In the sparkling Advent season, Karin and Catharina want to treat you to classic and contemporary Christmas songs in varied sounds. Christmas and its atmospheric songs are close to both their hearts.

Karin and Catharina met each other on the music program at Helsjön Folk High School and then continued together at the music academy in Gothenburg. Since then, they have made music together in many different contexts and constellations with everything from classical music, ballads, musicals, jazz to contemporary music.

Karin works professionally as a singer and has performed on many European stages. After these Christmas concerts at the centennial Grimeton Radio Station, Karin is a soloist at the centennial Radio Choir’s Christmas concerts at Berwaldhallen in Stockholm. In 2023, Karin was awarded Varberg Municipality’s Honorary Plaque in culture. Catharina works as principal at Katrineberg School and writes and produces music. They both live in Varberg.

Christmas Peace contains a wintry musical palette with songs such as “Ave Maria” by Schubert, “O Holy Night” and “Mary, did you know?” performed with vocals, piano, guitar, saxophone and recorder.
