Launch of Byaregården’s Big Apple Bubble Brew
Byaregården’s Brewery, just over 10 kilometers from Grimeton Radio Station, also wanted to contribute to the anniversary. The result is a delightful bubbly drink that alludes to the connection with New York, the big apple.
So on March 28, 2025, in conjunction with the Radio Choir giving a concert in the Transmitter Hall, there will be a premiere of BIG APPLE BUBBLE BREW, as a tribute to “100 years of communication” from this site.
The drink is based on a bold radio history with roots in the Halland soil, since the day the long-wave transmitter SAQ sent a first wireless message across the Atlantic to reach the Riverhead station in New York, the Big Apple. What better to toast with than a crisp, apple-flavored bubbly, to celebrate what is now the Grimeton World Heritage Site and has been shortening distances between people for 100 years. #100yearsofcommunication
Big Apple Bubble Brew will also be available for purchase in the World Heritage site’s café, at Byaregården’s Brewery, and through their reseller channels.
