In an extensive collaboration, the World Heritage Grimeton Foundation and the World Heritage’s managing actors, as well as the friends’ association Alexander GVV, have recently agreed on a strategy for Sustainable Site Development.
This entails a shared vision on how the development of tourism in and around the World Heritage site can contribute to its management and benefit those who live and work in Halland, without compromising the World Heritage values. The Foundation’s managers consist of Telia Company, the County Administrative Board of Halland, Varberg Municipality, and Region Halland. The management is complemented by a broadly composed World Heritage Council, intended as a forum for collaboration on World Heritage issues, with the County Administrative Board as the convener.
