The World Heritage Challenge with Åkulla Skidallians
Celebrate 100 years of communication throughout the snow season and take part in the World Heritage Challenge this winter!
You can do the challenge from World Snow Day on January 19 and throughout spring 2025. Yes, as long as there is snow in Åkulla Ski Tracks! This year Grimeton Radio Station celebrates 100 years. Åkulla Skidallians would like to be part of this celebration, join us! By skiing at least one wavelength, divided into one or more occasions, you can win great prizes from World Heritage Grimeton. How about Exercise Hawkeye, a tower climb? Or entrance tickets where you can get an agent pass to Grimeton Academy? Big or small, your ride also contributes to a better world.
What wavelength are you on?
- SHORT WALL 150 m for small children
- INTERMEDIATE WAY 1.000 m for older children
- “GRIMETONSK” LONG WAVE 17.440 m for adults
Frequency curiosities. The wavelength of a short wave is 10-150 m, a medium wave 500-1,000 m and a long wave 1-20 km between the troughs and peaks of the wave.

The competition will run until the tracks close in spring 2025. A draw will take place after the season. Winners will be notified by email.
