About the Grimeton Radio Station World Heritage Site
In 2004, Grimeton Radio Station was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a unique symbol of the early development of wireless technology. Since then, the site has grown into a vibrant visitor destination with exhibitions, guided tours, events, and an environment that invites both learning and reflection.

The Alexander Friends Association consists of a large number of people who devote their time to preserving our unique longwave transmitter SAQ. They run courses, document its technology, and are a major knowledge resource in managing the World Heritage Site.
They also lead some of our tours, Tekniska Skiftet, and carry out transmitter start-ups. A couple of times a year, they also transmit Morse messages to the whole world.
