During the winter break, or TechLov as we prefer to call it, we are visited this year by the Chamber Physics Ensemble, which presents a tribute performance to our 100 years and to the Onsala Space Observatory, which turns 75 years. Don’t miss Our Radioactive Life. Additionally, our Friends Association Alexander is starting telegraphy courses that will continue throughout the spring. And, of course, you can peek into the Exhibition on Wireless Communication and the Transmitter Hall to see the old longwave transmitter if you purchase a self-check-in ticket.
As we are renovating the Visitor Center during the winter and spring, we unfortunately do not have any catering to offer. But you are welcome to play and challenge your mast worker skills in the obstacle course Control whenever you want.
WINTER BREAK AT WORLD HERITAGE GRIMETON:
- The Chamber Physics Ensemble Presents our Radioactive Life
- Learn telegraphy; Evening course for everyone!
- Self-check-in to the World Heritage Transmitter Hall / Exhibition
AND ELSEWHERE:
- Ride a longwave, shortwave, or mediumwave in Åkulla Ski Trails – borrow skis for free!
- Stay over during the winter break at Åkulla Outdoor Resort – Children’s Vasaloppet February 15 – Outdoor Spa
THINGS TO DO AT HOME:
- Watch the short films about “What World Heritage is” – and talk about which ones you have visited – or want to visit! Among the 15 in Sweden – or the 1223 in the world! Maybe you want to make your own “reel” or post and share it on social media? By “talking” about these, you help preserve them. Nice, right!? Please tag #worldheritagegrimeton so we can see too!
Warmly welcome to the World Heritage Grimeton for an exciting winter break!
