On Saturday, September 3, 2022, a person tragically lost their life in a workplace accident at one of our antenna towers during maintenance work. A preliminary investigation into causing another’s death through a workplace accident has been initiated. The area where the accident occurred was cordoned off for forensic investigation, and the case has been handed over to the national unit for environmental and workplace safety in Gothenburg. The investigation is expected to take six months.
The person who died was from another European country, and their relatives have been informed. Saturday was dedicated to taking care of those affected and assisting the police in their work. Our thoughts are currently with the deceased’s family and colleagues. We hope for understanding and respect towards all involved, including our own staff.
Our visitor activities will be slightly adjusted due to this. We will contact booked groups during September 5-11 and cancel the dance event that was to be held on Sunday, September 11.
