UN Day SAQ start-up and transmission of telegram by poet Ingela Strandberg
Welcome to celebrate UN Day on October 24, 2025, this anniversary year at the Grimeton World Heritage Site. You will experience a transmitter start-up and the transmission of a message via the 100-year-old longwave transmitter. This year’s message is a message of peace formulated by multi-award-winning poet Ingela Strandberg, raised and born in Grimeton.
The Alexander Association will start up SAQ. The event will take place in the Transmitter Hall. Follow the entire start-up until it is time for the transmission of the Morse telegram at 4:00 p.m. CEST. Ingela Strandberg will be present in the Transmitter Hall and will also read her poem. Visitors are welcome. Advance ticket purchase is recommended. The ticket grants admission to the exhibition, the Transmitter Hall, and the transmitter launch, and also constitutes a welcome contribution to the preservation and development of the World Heritage Site. The visitor center and café will be open until 4:00 p.m. on this day. Please arrive early!
